English Conversation Groups

The program aims to help international students and local students from a non- English speaking background develop further confidence in their English conversation skills.

Student volunteers run the English conversation sessions in a fun and friendly environment on various Western Sydney University campuses.

Refugee Employment Support Program (RESP)

The Refugee Employment Support Program (RESP) is a four-year $22 million initiative by the NSW Government, managed by the NSW Department of Industry. RESP addresses the challenges that are experienced by refugees and asylum seekers in finding long term skilled employment opportunities.

The RESP will assist up to 6,000 refugees and 1,000 asylum seekers across Western sydney and Illawarra, the areas where a majority of the refugees settle in NSW.
